Founded in late 2015 and built with love in Los Angeles, California, Airmule is a marketplace that lets travelers fly for less by monetizing their checked bag allowance. Our goal is simple: dramatically reduce the cost of international travel by utilizing an often wasted resource – luggage space.
Work hard. Travel harder. We’re an early stage startup, but that doesn’t mean we want our employees dedicating their free time to work. Our company culture is straightforward – go about as you please, so long as you get your work completed properly and on time.
Our core product is our platform. Through it, we’re creating a free-to-use, easy-to-access marketplace that greatly lowers the cost of two separate, multi-billion dollar industries: international flights and international express shipping.
Less than 1/2 of all U.S. residents have a valid passport and less than 1/3 travel outside of the country each year. With the price of international flights projected to increase each year and currently averaging over $1,000 per ticket, we knew that the number one factor preventing more of us from traveling internationally was the cost, so we started a company to reverse the trend. Our teams are dedicated to making your next international trip a reality, and that mission lies at the core of why we built Airmule. We’re the smartest way to travel, and we hope to fly with you soon.
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
